May update

So here is what went on in may-or at least what I can remember! :)

In late April, I went back to work at The Nebraska Medical Center and John took a management position with Sams Club in Ames, IA. I didn't want to give up my great job for a position that would probably bring us back to Omaha in a year, so I had the brilliant idea that Jay and I would commute back and forth for my work. Ha. Easier said than done! So, we picked up and moved to Iowa and rented out our house in Omaha.

Meanwhile, we had an ever changing babe! Jaymes learned how to roll over and both mom and dad were present for it! She very quickly began to roll over all the time! Little did we know this would quickly progress to bigger things!

Major Updates

So...I've been TERRIBLE at updating our blog! So here is where we are at now.

Jaymes is almost 7 mos! She is sitting, crawling, pulling up on everything and starting to cruise! She is a crazy woman! She was such a good sleeper until recently :( but we are hoping that will change soon!

John now works in Lincoln at the new Sams Club after a brief stint in Ames, IA at Sams. Long story short-we had to rent out our house in Omaha when we moved to Ames so we are now moved back to Nebraska and living in my parents basement!

Life has brought a lot of challenges and turns recently but I hope we are soon getting back on track. Stay tuned for more updates on the 3 months lost due to our crazy life! I also vow to keep an updated blog from here on out!!

1st Easter!

Jaymeson's first easter!  She did fantastic during church, but had an off and on fussy day.  We did manage some smiles out of her though!  So cute!  We were able to spend the day with Nana, Poppa, Aunt Caela and Uncle Casey.  What a beautiful Easter!

Veggie Dip

Now that spring has sprung, veggies are even more delicious to snack on during these nice spring days!  Here is my absolute favorite dip for fresh veggies!  It is SO easy and much more delicious than the dips you find in the store (and healthier too!). 

Creamy Vegetable Dip

Recipe:

1 1/2-2 cups low fat cottage cheese
1/2 Ranch dressing powder packet

--In a food processor, puree the cottage cheese with the ranch powder.  And more or less to your taste!  Serve with your favorite fresh veggies!

Two Months!

Baby J turned 2 months this weekend!  Just as she was born on a BEAUTIFUL 60 degree weather January day, she turned two months old on a BEAUTIFUL 90 degree weather March day!  CRAZY!  She is now a whopping 10lbs, 5oz!  She has been smiling a LOT and cooing.  I LOVE holding conversations with her.  She definitely recognizes mom and dad these days.  This past week she even started sleeping most of the night and usually only waking up once in the night! She is such a happy girl.   She LOVES her baths,  her paci, and sleeping on her belly.  She doesn't sit more than 5 min in her bouncer or swing, but loves being held and worn in the wrap or carrier.  She also enjoys stroller rides.  It seems these days that her bonde hair has since become more strawberry blonde!
